Clear Mushroom Soup


  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 1 Carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 inches Fresh Ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 12 cups Broth (Vegetable, Chicken, or Beef)
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 package Mushrooms (Shiitake or Oyster) Sauteed (see sauteed Mushroom recipe)
  • 1 Green Onion
  • 2 teaspoons MagMushroom Umami Seasoning (or more to taste)


Step 1

Sear the carrots, ginger, onion, and garlic in a large saucepan.

Step 2

Add broth and Umami Seasoning and bring to a simmer for 1 hour.

Step 3

Use a slotted spoon to remove vegetables.

Step 4

Serve with sauteed mushrooms and green onion.
